Slash says it was tough working with Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver.

In a new interview, the guitar legend explained, “Velvet Revolver was always a difficult situation. I’m proud of the fact that we managed to pull that together and had a couple of cool records. But it was difficult because I never really managed to establish a solid footing with that band.”

Slash went on to say, “There was a lot of sh*t going on, man. A lot of people involved with the band had a major agenda. And Scott was difficult.  All things considered, he was irretrievable. Everybody had told me about that when the band first started, but I just did not know anything about Scott up until I started working with him. It was sad to go through that and how that all turned out. But like I said, we had some good times in that band too.“
