We’re all about the animals and helping them find their fur-ever home! Every week, we’ll be getting Pup Close with PK to feature a new adoptable animal!
Our featured pup of the week is Carter!
Who’s sweet, chunky, and full of spots like a chocolate chip cookie? Our gorgeous boy Carter!
Carter is a one-year-old American Bulldog/Catahoula Leopard dog mix who weighs 60 pounds and arrived at the Kentucky Humane Society when his owners could no longer care for him. Now he’s ready for a true forever home! Just like your favorite cookie, Carter is the best part of anyone’s day. He is best described as an energetic, goofy guy who would do great with an active family who is interested in taking him for long walks and playing a good game of fetch. He has been in playgroups with other dogs while at the shelter and has done really well with dogs who like a good rough-and-tumble play style. He would love to meet any potential dog friends to make sure they can be best buddies before going home. Carter hasn’t had much experience with cat friends and may do best in a home without cats around. His former family says he is house-trained, loves car rides, loves dog toys, knows some basic commands, and has done well with kids ages 6 and up.
Could you be the one for this adorable spotted prince? Carter is neutered, micro-chipped, and is up-to-date on vaccinations. If so, come meet him today at the Kentucky Humane Society East Campus, 1000 Lyndon Lane or learn more at www.kyhumane.org/dogs!
