Elton John is releasing a career-spanning box set later this year – but don’t expect Sir Elton to ‘play the hits’.
Instead, the eight-disc Elton: Jewel Box will focus on deep cuts, b-sides, early recordings, and a whopping 60 previously unreleased tracks.
Elton himself had a hand in curating the Jewel Box. He said “having time during lockdown to take stock and pull these moments from my memory from each era has been a joy.”
Elton: Jewel Box will be out Nov. 13th.
Should a box set include an artists’ biggest hits, or is it better to focus on lesser-known recordings?
