It turns out Eric Clapton, who’s been vocal anti-vaxxer throughout the coronavirus pandemic, doesn’t practice what he preaches.
The legendary guitarist, who on Tuesday cancelled a pair of upcoming gigs after revealing he’s contracted COVID-19, says he’s been vaccinated. It’s not clear if he received a booster shot.
The revelation comes after Clapton has spoken out against the COVID vaccine on several occasions, saying vaccine recipients are victims of “mass formation hypnosis.” He even went as far as to refuse to perform at venues that require proof of vaccination.
How could someone who’s been vaccinated speak out against vaccine?
