Alex Lifeson promises there will never be a Rush without Neil Peart.

While the guitarist has said in the past he’d be open to making music with Geddy Lee, he told SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk “There’s no way Rush will ever exist again, because Neil’s not here to be a part of it.”

Peart died in January of 2020 after a battle with brain cancer.  Lifeson, meanwhile, is currently focused on his new band, Envy of None.

Is there any drummer who could possibly fill Neil Peart’s shoes in Rush?  What would you like to hear in a Lifeson/Lee project?
