AC/DC Share Rejected ‘Highway To Hell’ Album Cover

AC/DC’s Highway To Hell is a bona fide rock classic celebrating its 40th anniversary. But the album’s original cover art was rejected in the U.S.

On Monday, the band shared the original art, which featured the same band photo from the final cover, but covered in flames with a bass guitar neck stretching like a highway down the middle.

The cover was used in Australia but was “shot down in flames” by their Amercian label, Atlantic Records.

What’s the best AC/DC album? Are you surprised the album cover was rejected based on some flames?
